That brought tears to my eyes because I know what they say is true. Plus, there are so many teachers unwilling to try new things and engage their students by using the technology that is available to them. It brings me to something that I always say, why to we make them shut down when they enter the school? Let's use what they know to everyone's advantage.

Thank you for that eye -opening video! We really do need to teach the students of today in the media that they relate to (and use and will continue to use as they grow up) . Keep getting the message out there!

I gotta say that video conferencing is very useful especially in business industry because sometimes business people had to travel to different locations around the world in order to sign their business agreements through this technology they do not have to leave their offices, it make it possible for them to connect with their partners worldwide.

I found a video conference opportunity for elementary students to listen to a storyteller, Pat Mora, who is a leading author in children's literature books, read books both in English and Spanish. This would be beneficial for the students who are spanish speaking, learn about their culture and customs.

We found a couple videoconferences that we would like to view. These were American Art: History Through Artists' Eyes, and Italian Art. We were mostly dissappointed because we didn't really find demonstrations on art, most were just presentations. The Cleveland Museum of Art had a lot of great options, and that would be something we would like to connect with in the future.

To supplement our Anne Frank lessons, we found an opportunity to connect to The Holocaust Memorial & Education Center of Nassau County ($125). There were also several Holocaust survivor testimonies that were free to connect to. One site gave other stories from children of the holocaust who were able to survive.

We found a couple different video series of events in the World War II period. One was a survivor series of people that were there during the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Another was a collection of interviews from veterans from WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. We feel these would be interesting videos to watch as we would get the views of a primary source during the time period. This would allow the students to hear about these events from a first hand source; which would be interesting to most students.
