We would like to connect to some city in Germany as we would be teaching a class on World History. We think this would be interesting to get the views of a European country; especially one who was on the opposite side of both of the World Wars.

We think that connecting with astronauts in space would be educational for elementary students learning about the Earth and Space.

Norma Gladu, she is a professor at Adrian College, who is an expert in all areas of athletics and fitness. Or log on to fsn.com and access the sports science section of the website where you can find a break down of athletes bodies and their movements.

  4. English Group says:

For our English classes some possible ideas we decided on were:
-Connecting to English Teachers in other regions of America or even other countries.
    -Video Field Trips
-Having students give presentations to other classrooms.
-Connecting to the author of a book or a relevant figure to the lesson.

If we could video conference anyone we would choose Debbie Stabenow or Carl Levin, both members of the US senate. It would be a great way for the students to ask questions to these political figures. This could be useful for older students in a civics or government class to get a deeper understanding of the political system

Oh that’s a great iea. That would be really interesting to talk or learn from an astronaut while they were in space.

  7. Adrian College Art Students says:

As Art Educators we feel it would be educational for our students and classroom to be able to videoconference with a practicing artist that relates with our lesson or current content. It would give the students an idea of how practicing artists function within the real world and it would also give the students a chance to ask the practicing artist questions.

I gotta say that video conferencing is very useful especially in business industry because sometimes business people had to travel to different locations around the world in order to sign their business agreements through this technology they do not have to leave their offices, it make it possible for them to connect with their partners worldwide.
